EraseNoise is a background noise remover that lowers distant shouting behind the voice in an audio or video file, with the trade-off shown below. In our real sample, the background score went from 3.29 to 4.05 out of 5, but shouting is speech, so naturalness ended at 2.44. Listen to the weak case below, then test 30 seconds of your own file free.

Play the yelling recording and listen to the speaker; shouting is speech, so expect a trade-off. Then compare the laughing case and run 30 seconds of your own file free.
Yelling is one of the weak cases of the 24 recordings we tested. The background score went from 3.29 to 4.05 and overall quality from 2.16 to 2.79, but naturalness ended at 2.44. Laughing, a slightly easier case, is next to it. Scores are DNSMOS and NISQA predictions on a 1–5 scale for real shouting and related voice recordings from the Microsoft DNS Challenge test set, processed with no hand edits.
A noise remover keeps speech, and a shout is speech. It drops most when the shouting is far from the mic and the speaker is close.
Someone yells down the hall during the take. The shout drops, and the speaker can sound less natural.
Hear the recordingNot tested separately. Screams without words are less like speech than shouted words, so they may drop more; check the preview.
Remove baby noiseA second voice as loud as the speaker is not removable. The model cannot tell which voice you want.
Most noise filters keep shouting completely. EraseNoise lowers distant shouting, and the preview shows how much before you pay.
In our sample the background score rose from 3.29 to 4.05.
The yelling recording is a weak case. You can hear the trade-off before you upload.
Turn the Noise reduction control down to keep a fuller voice.
Judge the speaker, not the background.
Naturalness ended at 2.44 in our sample. If your speaker sounds thin, keep the original or turn the control down.
Clear words from the other person may stay. That is the model keeping speech.
Shouting is speech, which makes it a weak case for every method.
| Option | Works best when | Falls short when |
|---|---|---|
| EraseNoise | The shouting is far away and a thinner voice is acceptable | The other voice is close and clear |
| Audacity Noise Reduction | Rarely: shouting is not a steady noise | It cannot tell two voices apart |
| Cutting in an editor | The shout falls between answers | It overlaps the words |
| Re-recording the line | You can ask the question again | The street moment cannot be repeated |
Upload the interview, coaching clip, or call unedited, up to 2 GB.
A call with kids yelling in the next room downloads as WAV.
A video with shouting in the background downloads as MP4 with the same picture.
Choose the audio or video file where people shout behind the speaker.
Play a sentence someone shouted over in both versions; no account needed.
Process the full recording only if the shouting is lower and the speaker does not sound processed.
Someone shouted across the street during the answer. Lower it under the speaker.

Kids yelled in the next room during a call or an episode. Clean the saved file.
Use this page for shouting behind the speaker. When the other voice is close and clear, no noise remover separates it.

No. This tool lowers noise under one voice. It does not split a conversation into separate speakers.
