An acapella extractor, also called an acapella maker, pulls the vocals out of a finished song and drops the drums, bass, and instruments. Upload an MP3 or WAV, hear 30 seconds of the voice on its own free, then download the acapella as a WAV.

The preview plays 30 seconds of the song with only the voice left. Listen to the gaps between lines: a soft hint of drums or a melody instrument can remain, and the words should stay clear.
The full song, with the band.
The same 30 seconds with only the vocals left.
Official acapellas are rare. An extracted one gives you the voice to remix, study, or sing against.
Put the vocal over a new beat in your DAW. The WAV keeps the original timing, so it lines up at the song’s tempo.
Hear the phrasing, breaths, and harmonies that the band covered.
Words that disappear under a loud chorus are easier to catch with nothing else playing.
Hear how a reference track treats its vocal: reverb, doubling, and how loud it sits.
It runs htdemucs, the Hybrid Transformer Demucs model that Meta released as open source under the MIT license. It scores 9.00 dB SDR on the MUSDB HQ test set, and it runs on a GPU, so you get one finished file.
The free preview is 30 seconds of your own upload, so you hear how this mix splits before you pay.
A 44.1 kHz WAV that starts at the same moment as the song, so it drops onto the original’s grid.
Some sites call it an acapella maker, others an extractor. It is the same job: keep the voice, drop the music.
The model decides what is voice. These sounds are the ones it gets wrong most often.
A saxophone, violin, or lead synth that plays in the voice’s range can leak into the vocal.
A loud snare can leave a soft click under the voice, mostly in the gaps.
Reverb and delay are partly kept, partly lost, so the vocal can sound drier than in the song.
An official acapella is the cleanest when a label releases one. For other songs, an acapella extractor keeps the voice and drops far more of the band than center tricks.
| Compared on | Official acapella | Center isolation (Audacity) | This acapella extractor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drums and bass left in | None | Kick and bass leak in | Faint traces in gaps |
| Mono songs | Depends on the release | Does nothing | Works, stays mono |
| Backing vocals | Usually kept | Only centered ones | Kept with the lead |
| Available for | Few songs | Any stereo song | Any song you can upload |
| Cost | Varies by release | Free | Free preview, then minutes |
Demucs htdemucs was trained on the MUSDB set plus 800 songs. It splits a mix into drums, bass, other instruments, and vocals; this site keeps the vocals, or adds the other three back together.
Demucs on GitHubA studio mix with a clear lead vocal. A dense rock mix or a phone video of a concert gives a rougher vocal.
The download is a 44.1 kHz WAV. A stereo song stays stereo, and a mono one stays mono. Video files are rejected, so save the soundtrack first.
Save its soundtrack with the free extract tool, which runs in your browser and uploads nothing, then upload that file here.
Drop an MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus, or FLAC file. The preview needs no account.
Switch between the song and the vocal on 30 seconds. A chorus shows the most.
Extract the full acapella and download it. The file is deleted after 24 hours.
Build remixes, mashups, and edits around a famous vocal.
Study how the original singer phrases a line, then match or change it.
Hear a topline on its own to see how the melody and lyrics fit.
The instrumental maker, the acapella extractor, and the karaoke maker run the same split. Pick the page that keeps the part you want.
| Job | Use |

| Only the singer, no music | Use this page |

The upload and the acapella are deleted 24 hours after you upload. They are not public demos.
Monthly and yearly prices stay visible together. You pay after the preview sounds right and you keep the full file. Pro includes 20 hours a month, not unlimited cleaning.

Upload the song, play the free 30-second preview of the vocal on its own, and download the full acapella as a WAV if it sounds right.
Yes. Both take the vocal out of a finished song. This page does that job; it does not create a new vocal or a cappella arrangement.
Yes. Harmonies, doubles, and backing singers are voices, so they stay in the acapella with the lead. They cannot be split from each other here.
It will keep a voice and drop music, but for speech with noise behind it the noise remover is the better tool. For talking over a music bed, use the background music page.
The 30-second preview is free. The full song uses processing minutes from a Pro plan or a minute pack; a 1 Hour Pack costs $2.99.
No. Each run gives you one WAV: the part this page keeps. To get the other part of the same song, upload it on the instrumental maker page for the music. That is a second run, so it uses processing minutes again, and the free preview works there too.
Splitting a song does not change who owns it. Practice, study, and singing at home are one thing. Posting the instrumental or the vocal, or selling a cover or remix built on it, still needs permission from the rights holders.
You can hear the 30-second preview 3 times in 24 hours without an account, and 20 times in 24 hours after you sign in. The upload limit is 2 GB. The full song is billed in whole minutes, rounded up, with a minimum of 1 minute, so a 3:20 song uses 4 minutes.
