Karaoke Maker Online

This karaoke maker turns a song into a backing track by removing the singer’s voice. Upload an MP3 or WAV, hear 30 seconds free, then download the karaoke track as a WAV. It makes the audio only; it does not add lyrics on screen.

Can I sing over the preview?

Yes. Play the free 30-second preview and sing the chorus over it. If you can still hear the original singer, it is usually their reverb, and it is quiet enough to sing over.

Original

The song as you uploaded it.

Karaoke track

The same 30 seconds with the vocals removed, ready to sing over.

When there is no karaoke version of your song

Karaoke catalogs skip new releases, local artists, and deep cuts. You can make your own backing from the song itself.

A song no catalog has

A new single, a regional hit, or a band’s B-side.

The real arrangement

Karaoke covers are often re-recorded. Your own track keeps the original band.

A party or a wedding

Build a short set of the songs your guests actually want to sing.

Practice at home

Rehearse a song for an audition or a show over the real backing.

Why use EraseNoise as a karaoke maker

It runs htdemucs, the Hybrid Transformer Demucs model that Meta released as open source under the MIT license. It scores 9.00 dB SDR on the MUSDB HQ test set, and it runs on a GPU, so you get one finished file.

Hear it before you pay

The free preview is 30 seconds of your own song.

Plays anywhere

A WAV plays in any karaoke app, speaker, or laptop, or can be converted to MP3.

Honest about lyrics

You get the audio. Put the lyrics on screen with your karaoke app or a lyrics site.

How good will the karaoke track sound?

For singing along, small traces of the original voice rarely matter. These are the cases to listen for.

The original singer’s echo

A long reverb can leave a faint shadow after each line.

Backing vocals are removed too

Choruses with harmonies sound emptier, because the harmonies count as vocals.

Live versions

Crowd singing stays partly in the track. Use the studio version when you can.

Karaoke maker or a karaoke catalog?

A karaoke catalog or app is easier when it has your song. A karaoke maker covers the songs a catalog does not.

The model behind it

Demucs htdemucs was trained on the MUSDB set plus 800 songs. It splits a mix into drums, bass, other instruments, and vocals; this site keeps the vocals, or adds the other three back together.

What can I turn into karaoke?

Any song saved as an audio file, up to 2 GB.

MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus, or FLAC

The download is a 44.1 kHz WAV. A stereo song stays stereo, and a mono one stays mono. Video files are rejected, so save the soundtrack first.

The song is in a video

Save its soundtrack with the free extract tool, which runs in your browser and uploads nothing, then upload that file here.

Karaoke nights at home

Play the track from a laptop or speaker and read the lyrics from your phone.

Practice with the original band instead of a piano reduction.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a karaoke version of a song?

Upload the song, sing over the free 30-second preview with the vocals removed, and download the full karaoke track as a WAV.

Does it add lyrics on screen?

No. It makes the backing track only. Show the lyrics with your karaoke app, or read them from a lyrics site while the track plays.

Can I change the key?

Not here. The track keeps the original key. Most karaoke apps and DAWs can shift the pitch of the WAV afterward.

Will the backing singers stay?

No. All voices are removed together, so choruses with harmonies sound a little emptier than the original.

Is the karaoke maker free?

The 30-second preview is free. The full song uses processing minutes; a 1 Hour Pack costs $2.99 and covers about 15 songs of 4 minutes.

Do I get both the vocal and the instrumental?

No. Each run gives you one WAV: the part this page keeps. To get the other part of the same song, upload it on the acapella extractor page for the vocal. That is a second run, so it uses processing minutes again, and the free preview works there too.

Can I publish a track I made from someone else’s song?

Splitting a song does not change who owns it. Practice, study, and singing at home are one thing. Posting the instrumental or the vocal, or selling a cover or remix built on it, still needs permission from the rights holders.

How many free previews do I get, and how large can the file be?

You can hear the 30-second preview 3 times in 24 hours without an account, and 20 times in 24 hours after you sign in. The upload limit is 2 GB. The full song is billed in whole minutes, rounded up, with a minimum of 1 minute, so a 3:20 song uses 4 minutes.
